SCAM Experience? How To Spot?

Hi!

I would love to hear feedback or stories of some buyer requests that ended up being a scam or were so strange that you denied their request.

I recently got a request to be hired as a payroll assistant and print payroll checks at home with my printer. It was for a heathcare agency. Gig would pay $800. For that price I was tempted but any agency that would allow payroll to be done remotely at home by someone they never saw with sensitive information seemed sketchy to me. Any comments?
