Seller asked me to allow for modification after delivery but not sure how

Hello. A seller has been working on something for me, and a couple of days ago showed me the progress of the work. It was not quite ready at that point but in my lack of understanding on how to use the site (this is my first request) I accepted the work as delivered, but there was still a bit of work to be done as well as about 3 days now worth of time for the seller to complete the order. How do I allow for modification after a delivery or to back out of delivery to allow the user to finish the work?

Hello there!

It’s difficult now you’ve accepted the delivery - in hindsight, what you should have done was to request a modification when the work was delivered, or your seller could have asked for a time extension before they delivered the work. Once the order is marked as complete, it can’t be re-delivered etc.

All you can do now really is to rely on the seller’s good nature, and ask for them to complete the work and deliver via Fiverr messaging - not an ideal solution for you, or for the seller, but I fear it’s your only option.

Good luck! 🙂

There is a button to click for revision or modification when you see the delivery. Use that and it will notify the seller to modify it and that you have not accepted it as it is.

I don’t understand what you mean when you say there is 3 days worth of time for the seller to complete the work?

Hello. This is what I am seeing.

. Bascially I was hoping there was still some way to alter this, but I don’t think there is. I did that because I got a message from the seller showing progress, and I thought the only way to respond back was to accept. Sounds like there’s not much that can be done. If the seller has yet to get me the actual files how could I get those then?

Yes - that’s what you see when you accepted the delivery.

As I said, all you can do is hope the seller will deliver, despite the fact you’ve already accepted the order as being complete when it wasn’t.

There should be another button for a request modification to the order unless too much time has gone by after delivery.

How could they still deliver the files if I accepted?

Where would this be?

If it’s still going to be available, it’ll be on the top right hand corner - it’ll say something like ‘are you having problems with this order’ - click here to go to the resolution centre.

Files can be sent via Fiverr mesaging - as I say, not ideal, but the only option if you accepted the delivery.

The revision button would extend the delivery time and give them time to make revisions, then deliver again.

It is confusing when we’re not sure if the order has been accepted or not, isn’t it!

OP did say in opening post that ‘I accepted the work as delivered’ - now, I’m not so sure! 🙂

Since she showed what she was seeing which is the part where she can rate the seller, she did get the final delivery. I’m just not sure if she can also see the revision button.

I never know what someone means when they say they accepted the work as delivered.

There is no way to say “I accept” unless you leave a review.

Sometimes this happens on the larger pieces of work that I deliver.

I am really upfront with my buyers. “Do not worry, You will get full delivery and you will love it. If not I will make changes until you are satisfied”

That promise and guarantee generally means that I have no problems - and remarkably few revision requests.

In this case ask the question explicitly. Will you deliver and is everything ok? Will you make sure that I am satisfied?

However he replies you then have a clear path forward that is easier to manage

This is what I am currently seeing. Maybe I am missing the point, but I see no option to ask for a modification.

Did you look in the upper right corner of that page where it might say resolution center?

Or it may say do you have a problem with this order?

Or it might say do you want a revision?

I’m not sure what it says exactly.

I did see that, but I see nothing about revision or modification. I stepped through that and all it gave me was the option to cancel.

How long has it been since it was delivered?

You can ask customer support if there is some way to change this to asking for a revision and tell them you didn’t know how to request that.

It’s been about 3 days now. I did send support a message so hopefully they’ll be able to help us out.
