Stuff Fiverr doesn't tell you

Recommended Posts

You guys need to let users know that Fiverr takes a cut ($1 out of $5) on orders… you only get 10 offers in buyer requests a day, etc. Stuff like that. I don’t like using the site finding out annoying things like that before knowing it first. Now I cant submit offers on the actual projects I want to do. And why is there a limit? WTF. And that limit doesn’t go up the higher rating you are? YOU GUYS NEED TO EXPLAIN THIS STUFF.

YOU GUYS NEED TO EXPLAIN THIS STUFF.

Hmmm…

WHY? We are all sellers/buyers too, and we started exactly where you are. We don’t work for Fiverr.

There is a boat load of info for those who read and explore.

Here’s another resource for you:

https://support.fiverr.com/hc/en-us

Freelancers have to educate themselves, or else they get to go get a regular job where the boss gets to tell us what to do. They have people to EXPLAIN ALL THIS STUFF.

For some people, that’s a stronger path.

Best of luck on Fiverr!

Everyone here, has already figured that out on our own, probably when we first started as sellers. As others have said, it is explained already.

I’m not sure why you alone are in the dark about all these things. It takes some personal responsibility to learn on your own the way this site works and it’s all explained already if you just look for it and read it.

When you say “you guys” it sounds like you think we are employees of fiverr.

We are sellers and buyers on fiverr and none of us work for fiverr as staff, we are just like you-- site users.

maybe bc when i said ‘u guys’ the first time I WAS talking about Fiverr, as they read these comments. yall r uneducated.

i see posts of the terms of service… like anybody reads those. i shouldnt have to read some long abstract terms of service to know how it works. not to mention “terms of service” is not “how the site works”. TERMS OF SERVICE means what u agree to by using the site, as in a legal contract.

its also ease of use. if i only get 10 offers to make, it should say that on top of the buyer requests page where i make offers. if Fiverr takes a % it should say that on the home page or signup page, NOT in the terms of service. its like they’re trying to hide it. and no this 20% rate is not common knowledge. Fiverr is a new website, its not common knowledge in society. if i could get some smart answers from the Fiverr team id appreciate it

Fiverr is not a new website, it’s been around for 7 years that I know of.

Being rude to people who are trying to help you is the height of bad manners.

You’ve got all the information you need - I hope you do something useful with it.

Here’s how to contact CS:

I hope you’ll be a bit nicer to them than you have been to us. We’re all buyers on here, as well as sellers. Not a good idea to be rude to potential customers.

When you signed up for a Fiverr account, you accepted the TOS. The fact you didn’t read it and are no asking questions about whats actually IN the agreement is your fault, not Fiverr’s, nor the forum.

For the record, I actually read the TOS. Its basic freelance due diligence.

But coming on the forum of the site on which you want to be successful and calling people dicks is bad form. Most people on here are here to help and educate based on their own/our own experiences as newbies…and some of us are pretty good at what we do.

I’ve learned a lot by asking, reading and implementing as it fit my gigs.

Some things you’ll find out on your own and other things the forum or support can help you.

Best of luck

Why so much animosity for General advert and marketing buddy? Do you know even BIG corps and Banks do not tell you Hidden charges of something and its ok its a part of advertising and marketing, We’re modern and educated people we must know before we start our freelancing career that there are some Basic stuff that we need to know, When you get a loan from bank you’d ask for Floating or Fixed interest rate then why you did no research while signing up or do you feel Fiverr to be dishonest about pricing ? Well if it is then its a different story altogether good day

The “y’all r uneducated” had me chuckling. Then I read the profile:

I have a BACHELORS DEGREE in graphic design from Purdue University. You will not get as quality designs for this price anywhere else!

I don’t know where to begin. I’m not normally this critical but with that tirade, it doesn’t seem to matter.

I think the OP left since it would mean reading to follow this.
