Help needed...Buyer trying to steal

Hi,
Today, just submitted a work to the client who did not provide me with new information and now asked me to change the work according to the new information. I told him that it was not mentioned in the initial requirements but I’ll still change it accordingly. After that he is saying that he is not satisfied with the work and wants a refund. He is taking the work and running away. I have worked hard on this job and I have been working online since 2010 on Presto and Upwork. I know what clients do when they decide to take the money and run. He is doing the same. I just became level 1 seller I do not want him to spoil my ratings.
You can check the work, it is totally plagiarism and grammatical errors free. If i do not refund him, he will spoil my ratings and review.
I need some resolution for this issue.
I first of all do not want to refund. is there any solution for that?
And secondly if i return the complete amount will he be able to rate me?
Please guide.

I'm sorry Ryan but maybe it is also time to check yourself. This may not sound cool to you but sometimes when things happen repeatedly, it's time to refine and recharge. Why are they all cancelling? Maybe some people out there do it deliberately...

I’m also new but I think he might steal your writing but he won’t be able to review after you canceled the order. Make sure to keep checking if he uses your article on the web so you can report him. screenshot almost everything you can.

If you are going to refund by cancelling order so he will not surely able to give any negative review

He selected the modified revision and when i agreed for modification he says that i do not want to work and need a refund.

I do not see any option to cancel here and there are still 2 days left in the deadline. I have emailed customer support as well.

Can you guide in how can i cancel the order so that i do not receive a review from him.

There is only option saying are you having trouble completing this order? Use Resolution center.

Should i wait for customer support reply or cancel it to avoid negative ratings?

If you cancelled the order, he won’t be able to review as @kelly_johns said above, BUT cancellation will affect you.

Here’s what you can do :

  • Try to understand you buyer, offer him some extra bonuses, deliver him extra-ordinary & make revision once again.
  1. You can Contact CS or RS.
  • If none of the above worked, you’ll have to refund as Negative Review is worse than Cancellation affect.

  • Hopefully there is a trick! If you don’t want to affect your profile by cancellation, you can ask him to make you a custom offer. (If he is a seller). You can order it and the client will get his money back. But if he’s angry with you or unsatisfied, so he can still leave you a Negative Review.
    (NOT recommended though, but it’s an option if you can trust your buyer & take a risk)

I have already told him that I can give him revisions if he want which he initially requested but when I agreed on revisions he says he wants his money back. The work is 100 % perfect and there is nothing wrong with it. I have been working on other websites since 2010 and I know when people are trying to steal.

There are lots of fraud scammer buyer in fiverr. So stay avoid from them and cancel the order mutually otherwise they can give you a negative feedback. And a negative feedback can destroy your freelancing career. So my suggestion will be just cancel the order.

If you suspect he is trying to take the money and run, you can register the work to your name so he can’t use it openly or will be punished by laws for plagiarism.
I did this with a client which did’t want to pay a logo I designed.
Don’t let be scammers a plague! 😛

Are you talking about watermarks? If not, how do you do that?

Watermark is the first ‘warhorse’ but you can only use BEFORE deliver the final work. I mean copyright your work in the case he took the money and run so he can’t use it as his work nor gainning money with it.

I see what you’re saying about adding your own watermark prior to delivering, but if you’re delivering image based gigs, Fiverr adds their watermark to the images, and the watermark is only removed when the order either automatically completes, or the buyer accepts the delivery. 🙂

If you contact Fiverr support they always in customer side. so just issue a refund and keep away from trouble. i met this kind of buyers lot of times. keep it up

I know , for this reason I said BEFORE delivering as a sample ( this way if must do any correction it doesn’t count as revision)
