Things looking good in general

  1. Fiverr stuff going on okay.
  2. Stock markets doing well, have started investing in mutual funds. Missed out the move from 18k to 32k in the Indian stock market last 3 years, but any investment from here on into the future will be made in the stock market.
  3. Things looking great politically for my side in India.

That’s it.

Thanks! I am more affected by India and Indian politics than anything that happens to me personally, as you may have observed 🙂

Lately I feel the same way about my country’s political situation. We have some amazing drama going on even now as I write this, at night at the Capitol.

Haha, some crazy stuff going on there. It’s like everyone is losing their mind. Hope things settle down. Can’t say more as political talk is not allowed here, as a well-wisher of the US I am a little disillusioned by what’s going on there - for different reasons than you are, though.

Our prime minister got disqualified today, my arm is still broken, I have no funds saved up, and I realized I missed Spiderman Homecoming…

I was about to say I missed that movie as well, then I realized I’d seen it…that’s how forgettable it was. LOL.

I only wanted to watch it for RDJ, that guy is literally the only thing that still has me interested in the MCU

For the rest of the world this is a daily soap. If it was a TV-show everybody would say “Nah, this would never happen in real life”.

Every day brings new horrors, each one worse than the previous one. Finally we had some good luck in Congress last night due to the sensible actions of just one or two people.

Alas, I follow it on a regular basis. Shouldn’t do that anymore.

I wonder how long it will take until the rest of the world decides to collect donations, so that you guys over there finally have good health care in place.

We actually already have a basically decent plan in place which needs some tweaking.

I’m not sure how or why there is such a war on it. It does not make sense to me. The idea that it’s perfectly ok to leave millions of people with no health care is foreign to me.

I know, but it has been demonized by some.

Lots of our citizens are woefully uneducated and/or uninformed which creates all these problems.

The government of your country strategically keeps proper education out of reach for the masses, as uneducated people are more likely to fall for empty promises and populisme. There is a reason Betsy DeVos (who is a total moron) has been chosen for her position.

All politicians (not just in America) have totally no relation to the reality of the people. Easy example: I’m in a position where I can do pretty much what I want to do whenever I want to do it. Even though I worked in normal jobs for many years, I can’t relate anymore to the circumstances friends are in who have to stand up at a certain time, have to work for a vast amount of hours and then come home tired. I live in a total different reality now and I realize that even though I have had the same experience, it is so far away from me now.

So how on earth can anyone believe that somebody who grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth and always got served whatever he wanted on a silver plate, in anyway can relate to the normal working woman and man, who have to have more than one job in order to feed themselves and/or their families?

The biggest problem is that nobody wants to wake up. The majority of the people want to complain and say that they want change, but they are afraid of change, because this will mean a shift in their comfort zone and they probably would get rid of the reason to complain. But they want to complain, so it’s frightening for them.

However, this is very off-topic. I apologise.

Good to read that here are people who do well.

The few politicians we’ve had who were raised by single mothers without much money, and were around poverty and saw what it does, have been aware of suffering and wanted to help. The rest just want to lower taxes for the rich.

But this daily non-stop chaos is so out of control that it really puts our democracy to the ultimate test.
