Buyer Requests Number

Hi everyone, first post in the forums.
I became a level 1 seller this morning and noticed that an aspect of the buyer requests changed. I don’t know if it’s because of my “promotion”, but prior to today, I’d see <40 active buyer requests, but now I see >1900. Is it supposed to change like this?

I’m not completely sure how the buyer request feature works however…
