Order The Right GIG

Hello buyers, I am a seller here and I want to share with you something that would ease your buying process with sellers. Please ensure you order the right gig for the service you want. Say you want book illustration service and the seller has a gig for ‘‘book illustration’’, order right there not on any other GIGs of the seller unless you have discussed with your sellers to order under different gig.

This is because the duration for the sellers to deliver your order will differ, if he/she needs 7 days to create a book cover and you place the order under a gig that has only 2 days delivery, that will be a MESS. So please be considerate because you just can’t simply cancel the order to replace it elsewhere as that will negatively affect the sellers.

I hate that! I actually two of them doing that to me yesterday and one even threatened to cancel the order, but finally she said it will be fine if I send by Monday, which is not too bad. another order, I told her that I can’t finish early and that she has to wait till a few more days to get the full work, but I would deliver something just to stop the clock.

It’s just so frustrating

This is part of the reason I don’t offer fast service for extra money (that, and I have a “real job” outside of Fiverr, so I couldn’t even if I wanted to). This is also the reason I have so many policies in place and am asking for more room and paragraphs on gig descriptions. Too many people trying to jump through loopholes or ask for common sense things just because it’s not in writing.

Reply to @goodgift: the customer actually placed the order on the wrong gig. the gig I’m referring to is easy to do so I wouldn’t want people to think why I’m taking so long to do something easy. The issue is this customer went and placed her order on this gig for a completely different work that requires 7 days on another gig.

I thought I might just be over reacting to this, but I’m kinda glad other people get frustrated with it too, I offer certain gig extras on similar gigs, and people will try to order one gig to get the extras, when they would have gotten the same work for cheaper, because it wasn’t what we had discussed ahead of time.
