It’s not OK, the buyer is breaking the Terms of Service. You should not contact them outside of Fiverr, but if you decide to do so it will be at your own risk - it can backfire and get you into trouble that Fiverr will not be able to help you with.

You are safe only if you don’t contact the buyer outside of Fiverr. Tell your buyer that it’s against the rules to share personal contact information, and that all communication must be performed on this platform.

Here’s what the TOS says:

“Communication for handling orders should be performed on Fiverr, through the order page. Users who engage and communicate off of Fiverr will not be protected by our Terms of Service.”

So it’s not safe if you do what the buyer asks you. The buyer can do all sorts of shady things outside Fiverr.

You can also contact CS if that makes you feel safer, and they can review the buyer’s account for any suspicious activity 😉

It’s totally fine. Just tell him that it’s not allow here to share personal information and if you want to share a huge file then use dropbox.
Some of my client send email just to forward me description/attachment stuff and then i tell him that.

Hi

Well first of all I want to say its absolutely not okay exchanging outside methods at Fiverr !

You should not use any other platform except fiverr.com and most importantly clients will offer to work with outside of Fiverr which is totally nonsense.

So dont do this kind of thing.
