Question about Revisions

Hi everyone,

I just want to ask about “revisions”.

I have a buyer who is actually a repeat buyer of my gigs. However, in his last order he asked me to make a brochure, I sent him an offer and he accepted.

However, he said that once I finish the brochure, he wants me to create another brochure but only change the colors and replace the logo, address, map and other details. He said that he has three revisions to consume, so that means, he can ask me to replace the logo and other details three times, as it is part of the gig, that is how he understood “revisions”.

Do you think, it is ok for me to charge differently for each brochure? I believe, changing the logos, colors and the details is like creating a different product but just using a ready made template.

Your thoughts on the matter are greatly appreciated.

I don’t think that’s how revisions work…you should probably charge him separately.
Revisions would be if he wanted a different color for the same one, but this is him wanting three for the price of one. He should have specified that when he was ordering.
But that’s just my personal opinion. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Thanks. I was hesitant to charge because I might be wrong.

But I guess I have to discuss it with him. He has been a repeat buyer, so maybe I can make him understand.

yes that is not a revision. but maybe he ask that from you, because he is a repeat customer of you.

Yeah maybe you’re right. But I’ve already given him 30% discount than what I normally ask for that gig. So I think maybe it is right if I ask him for a different payment for a different brochure.
