I’m reading “The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein - it’s a novel written by a dog, it’s like the dog’s memoirs!

It’s spectacular to enter the mind of a dog, especially if you’re a dog owner and you’ll find yourself in all those situations.

And while I do mostly like SciFi, I am a fan for tearjerkers at times 😃

Am I really that predictable? 😃 I’m a dog person, more than others are, I just can’t help it.

I should’ve been born a dog 🐩

Well, I’m addicted to the free reading site wattpad and so I’m reading A TON of books on there. My current wattpad favs are “The Man in the Wall”, “Until You” and “When Breathing Gets You Killed”. I also do some reading on the website Sweek and I’m always checking out works in the Smashwords library.

Oh, and I’m reading the classics “Heart of Darkness” and “Beloved” for school. I have to do a Marxist analysis of Beloved for my literary theory class 🙂

I read all genres. I’m more interested in story structure than genre. My favorite story structure is the “Man Against Himself” model. Those are also the type of books that I write under my pen name. “Man against nature” is cool too. I’m not a huge fan of “Man Against Man”, unless it integrates a lot of elements from the other two story models.

Awesome post! I love to read, so I was really excited to see this topic.

That’s exactly what I want, just don’t have the time… 😰 I feel like I could get so much more from the books than I get from the series…

I have so many different stories on my list that I just never get a chance to sit down and read, which frustrates me to no end because there’s so many great ones. The latest story I’ve read on there is called “From the Ash”, you’ll love this one if you’re into action/adventure. I’d also say it does have some element of “Man Against Man” in there as well. 🙂

I’ll add it to my list now! I’m the same way. I have fifteen reading lists and I’m always adding to them way faster than I ever get to sit down and read through them! I think I probably have over 500 stories stock-piled. I have really bad wattpad FOMO too son I’m always skipping around from one story to the next.

Currently reading “Big Breasts and Wide Hips” by Mo Yan, in its original Chinese. It’s not erotica I swear 😃
I haven’t read anything in Chinese for a while so I wanted to keep my reading list balanced. It’s so easy to lose touch with a language if you’re not reading/writing it consistently.

Oh wow! I would love to learn another language. Thanks for your input 😄

No prob!

Truth to be told I only learned Chinese by living in China for years. If I hadn’t gone back, I would definitely be monolingual because I’m lazy and languages are hard 😛 But if you’re committed I’m sure you’ll be able to do it!

I’m a reading fool, which is a good thing I suppose. 🙂

Glad I met someone on this website that’s as enthusiastic about reading as I am!
