I’m going to share these valuable tips to improve your fiverr business starting today. These are condensed from my blog post from hitting the milestone yesterday!

Tip #1 The Anchor Gig

If you are going to succeed on fiverr, it is going to happen 1 of 2 ways. You are good at advertising, or you have a top-rated service. Here’s the success that made my gig featured, made me a Top Rated Seller, and turned a hobby into a career.

  1. Feature yourself in the cover image. Always.
  2. Come up with a catchy tagline and consider using power words for your title and descriptions.
  3. Offer an unbelievable deal.

Tip #2 Barter Marketing

Everyone complains that fiverr takes too much of a commission of 20%. I am very content because people fail to miss a pain point every small business has. This fee is paying for the marketing, infrastructure, and it is almost like rent for your store too. Don’t be naive that there’s no cost to doing business. This is a big fallacy.

Tip #3 Technology Stack

Here are my recommendations to track documents, spreadsheets, and clients in Google Drive.

File Structure

  1. Create a Fiverr Folder.
  2. Number folders 00-20 for each gig. The higher the number, the higher the number, the greater the importance of the gig.
  3. Repeat the same process within the file.
  4. Color folders to quickly identify them.

Tip #4 Rapid Launch Gigs

You are going to need a few things to make the recipe work and build an idea.

Planning The Gig

Choose a category you think your gig will be a fit for your customers. The secret to streamlining a gig launch is to do it quickly. The most important thing that cannot be altered later is your Gig URL. The title can be updated later, but the URL is permanent.

  1. Choose a gig title, make sure it fits in the preview.
  2. Start with a single package and expand packages later.
  3. Write a 150-word description of yourself, services, and what it will do.
  4. Include one Frequently Asked Questions to start.
  5. Add one gig requirement.
  6. Make an image for your service.
  7. Launch it!

Tip #5 Nut & Bolt Pricing And The Pitfalls of Over Delivery

The biggest mistake most people do on fiverr is OVERdelivering. I am not discouraging you from going ABOVE AND BEYOND, but overdelivering is where you can create new gigs and services.

Always be aware the gig is supposed to solve one thing very well. Only overdeliver if it is something that’s a part of the core of your gig. IF it is not, you might want to create a new gig or feature a new package. Make sure you know what every piece of your gig costs and is worth. If you want a little more context, I have shared my experience discovering these concepts and applying them to my fiverr business. Today, I run my whole business through fiverr.

The point of rapid launching gig is you improve over time. Spending too much time writing will slow you down, and you are going to rewrite it anyways. What do you want to know about the technology stack? Google Drive is the backbone of my entire enterprise.
