I don’t think so but
they must remove featured gigs as long as its unfair
They can give little bit more impressions to top rated sellers

My homepage was covered with the fetured gigs.

Today, those are under featured gig, but without the (pink/purple whatever the color is) badge.

I checked several users who I have the featured gig tag and all that is left is the TRS badge… I don’t know if it is official only that the tag is not there at the moment. Maybe it’s the search updates fiverr was talking about.

Yes I can also confirm that it’s not just the tag that was removed but the badge from all featured gigs as well.

I just woke up to my featured gig having the badge stripped from it without any heads up or any sort of notification from Fiverr.

Fiverr, when you introduce a feature or decide to take it away, you should notify your users ahead of time.

You are running a global platform, this is not a private blog.

K? Thanx. 🙂

That’s a specific section on the homepage.

My gig is no longer shown at the top of its category/sub category as it did when I had the featured badge.

When I saw this post, I searched for your gigs and when I noticed non of them where featured, that was the confirmation I needed. At that time, your gig was actually the first one in that category. I have just rechecked the same category and the gig has just dropped in position.

Just to clarify here? (And yes, this will make me look way out of touch). Are we talking about removal of paid featured gigs where sellers could pay to have their gig featured with a nice little banner? Or are we talking about gigs which Fiverr just thought were jolly good and decided to slap a featured label on them?

Well, if this is an end to paid featured gigs, I’m wholly supportive of this move. I do agree (sometimes) with this practice on other sites. The only problem with Fiverr, is that I saw this feature being open to huge exploitation by poor quality sellers who could get ahead of better sellers and in doing so, bring down end customer perceptions of value in regard to services rendered on Fiverr.

Of course, it might not be the case that featured gigs are being removed. One way to know for sure, though, would be for anyone who has set up a paid featured gig in the past to see if they can still do so today via the feature it option on their dashboard menu. - Some sellers like me never had this functionality unlocked so we can’t test it.

No, not paid promotions.

Just the gigs that the editorial team deemed worthy of the “featured” label. (and the top positions that came with it)

Please read the thread carefully and try not to confuse two completely different features.

You keep coming back as to whether or not PROMOTED gigs are no longer a thing.

No one ever mentioned the promoted gigs feature.

We are talking about featured gigs.

You know, I did ask what this meant and someone answered saying both. This is why I made another comment. Please think carefully in future before being so CONDESCENDING. Now I’m sat here hoping that you spontaneously combust and if I had real magic powers, you would be in big trouble.

I deleted my post as I thought it was a stupid question. I didn´t think there is such thing. Not sure if that´s good news or bad news. I can´t find one of my gigs in the search. I could promote my gig in social medias, but it would be nice if at least my gig can be found in the search. Does that mean I have to pay? 😞

Fiverr will charge you an extra % on the promoted gig. You don’t send them money, they simply deduct it after the sale is done
