I have been a Fiverr member since January, with the aim of progressing my career as a freelance translator and proofreader. I would like to ask you some questions that might help me and other newbies out there 🙂

2. How long did it take you to earn your first sale?

4. How do you approach your clients?

Politely & in a professional way

Do you sell your gigs to your relatives and friends?
Never did, nor I believe they would be interested.
My father keeps saying to me “you’re wasting your time with that Photoshot”

Was my second attempt sending offers on Buyer Request, I’ve earn over $100 with my first sale

This motivates me a lot as I haven’t earned my first sale yet, but recently I’ve added new gigs and sent offers to buyers’ requests.

That’s the most important way to get orders when you start.

This is not a matter of luck, you need to learn how to approach a potential client.

It helped me my time working in office with salesmen and clients.

1. Also positive but in the beginning I didn’t believe that because it’s always hard work at first

4. They approach me but in the beginning I went to forums to promote my gigs
5. No because Fiverr takes a cut and I’d prefer to keep them as direct clients

Since Feb 2015 (I have had a lot of time off Fiverr due to client work outside of this platform)

How did you manage to earn your 1st sale in 2 days?

I went to internet marketing forums and Facebook groups to find my ideal audience and because my prices were cheap at the start so that I could get experience.

Fiverr now represents 50% of a full-time wage and I have done that since December when I started back up on Fiverr.

There is a real need for your services so go for it and good luck!
