Fiverr's mobile app started an order and charged an old Paypal account without my consent!

I was just checking a custom offer a seller sent me, then screen of my cell phone turned off … and next thing you know the order was started and I was charged on my old paypal account. (An account that I removed from fiverr previously) This is not allowable in any circumstances!!!

What kind of mobile app does Fiverr have??? 😡

Actually, this happens on desktops as well - when a seller sent me a custom offer, as soon as I clicked that button to check the offer out the order had already been placed. And I bet that seller you’re talking of was trying to promote their services to you, like it happened in my case. Anyhow, if you weren’t interested in that offer they sent, simply ask for a refund because you never asked for the offer in the first place (assuming you never asked for it).

Thank god it was a legit seller and that he cancelled the offer right away! (the money was returned to my account)

The issue is that customer service refuses to believe me! And they won’t return the money to that Paypal account!

It’s crazy that it’s even possible!

If Customer Support wasn’t able to help you with this mystery, I don’t know what to tell you. But, hopefully, this doesn’t happen again. At least the seller was responsive and handled the situation promptly.
