charliescloset
Hey! I was just wondering if these kinds of gigs get any buyers usually?
jonbaas
They can be successful. Like any business, it depends entirely upon the services you choose to offer, the presentation of those services (i.e., attractive gigs), the prices at which you offer those services, and the marketing and promotion you do for those services. If you’re willing to work hard, anything can be successful. lucycodex
Hey! I was just wondering if these kinds of gigs get any buyers usually?I don’t recommend them at all. If someone needs help, they should see a REAL counselor or therapist, one with years of experience in the field and know what they are doing. The same way that if someone needs nutrition advice, they should see a Registered Dietitian, and not a weight loss blogger. If someone needs medical help they should see a doctor, not a homeopathic practitioner.Giving anyone advice when you are not a certified therapist or state board licensed psychologist, especially for someone so young, seems to have a high risk of potential harm to your clients. You say you’re a clinical psychologist with an Msc, why not just keep your therapy to clinics and other licensed areas? That will be much more beneficial to your clients, and you can also seek others in your area in case your client needs a referral to a different specialist.Fiverr is NOT the place to go for mental and psychological issues and advice. As a trained psychologist you should know this.
misscrystal
The OP’s account is gone. Strange, because she just posted this 35 minutes ago.

lucycodex
Perhaps she tried to offer counseling services that Fiverr disapproves of.Maybe. The only service she had that would be kinda iffy is one on sex therapy, but I don’t see why Fiverr would delete the whole account instead of the gig. Then again, I don’t get how Fiverr does things. Some major frauds happen and they don’t really seem to be combating them, (like massive copyright infringement and the selling of Level 2 accounts on Facebook pages that are made en masse because it’s literally that easy to make them.) but minor infringements can get your whole account deleted. misscrystal
Perhaps she tried to offer counseling services that Fiverr disapproves of.Or maybe she took lucycodex’s advice and decided to offer her services in person.A sex therapy gig might have been enough to do it. “Charliescloset” is a funny name for someone offering sex therapy. Fiverr could have interpreted it as “misleading” and against the TOS, which are incredibly vague.
misscrystal
I think it was too much like offering something that is like medical advice or psychiatric services by calling it therapy.

Giving out psychological services or medical counseling without being certified can be VERY dangerous to a client
