She knows my husband and I don´t celebrate easter, but she is just a lovely old lady. She actually said that the eggs are for our dogs. EDITED: those are real eggs inside, NOT chocolate. Because what we know as Easter today is actually NEW YEAR’S DAY of the olden cultures (Egyptian, Roman, Greek, etc) and the custom of giving eggs is to symbolize new life and fertility in the new year.
