My response rate dropped!

My response rate drops because I didn’t respond to spam messages from other sellers. I recently got two messages from sellers offering their gig services to me. I glanced over the messages and ignored them since I had no intention on purchasing their gigs. Now my response rating goes from 100% down to 60%. Not fair!

Reporting them should count as a response.

Or, you can just write “Spam. Reported” and report them.

I contacted customer support and they wouldn’t fix it.

CS can’t fix it because you didn’t report it or respond so the response rate is valid.

As @catwriter says, If you get spam from sellers, reply to their message with a quick response:

“Reporting you for spam.”, then hit the report flag.

The messages were reported to customer support. I just didn’t do it instantly. I don’t care if they were reported a month later (which they were not) they should still be able to see it was spam and adjust my response rate accordingly. We all know that’s the proper way to deal with it. They actually did adjust it from 60% to 67%. Not sure why though.
