If I promote a Gig, is it unwise to use a link that does not contain the nofollow directive? Some ways to promote a Gig (legitimately) do not have that option.

I have noticed that social media uses nofollow, and the Badge generator does too. Is that only for SEO purposes, or is it a Fiverr preference as well?
