What happens to reported users?

This morning I was contacted by a buyer whose request was sexually explicit and clearly violates the TOS, aside from having absolutely nothing to do with any of my gigs. I clicked the report button and got the message telling me they won’t be able to contact me anymore, but I’m curious about what happens on the other side. What kind of notification does someone get when they’ve been reported? And does Fiverr review this? Or do they just prevent this guy from messaging me in the future?

The weird part is, the message in question came over on my phone as a notification, but when I went into the website to report it, the graphic message was no longer there. There were a few earlier contacts, so I was able to report the user, but the offensive part is gone. A copy never went to my email either. I didn’t know people could delete their messages after sending them. I’m wondering if Fiverr will review it and think I’m crazy because what’s visible now it’s perfectly friendly.

I would like to know too. One of the people contacting me was bugging me about one of my silly gigs, but was pushing that we talk on s***e for free. He didn’t out right say so, he was just avoiding buying the gig and turning the conversation back to s***e and asking me my contact.

I was also wondering if there was a better way to report tos-breakers and rule-violators? I used the “Report” link at the bottom of their message, but it reported his message as spam. I was assuming a pop up would appear and a moderator would come by after I left a reason for reporting him.

I hope we get answers soon.

I believe the staff has the power to delete offending messages. It's just a guess, but this just happened to me too. It's the only explanation that I can think of that makes sense.
